Professional BIM Services Project Coordination: Plan, model and sets the tone for exceptional customer relations. Lead design and subcontractor team members (i.e. design, detailing, scheduling, project planning, constructability, etc.) for specific contractor 3D tasks and plans. Gain input from key stakeholders during design processes. Work closely with customers to identify and clarify important factors to focus on to fully meet customer expectations. Assist with cost management throughout; value engineering, man power tracking, budget and spreadsheet work. Develop project coordination and CAD task schedules. Provide effective BIM services for two to five projects simultaneously. Mentors other team members and encourages career development and growth. Provide continuous improvement input to the group’s VDC processes. Analyze and resolve work problems Supervision, Coordination or Work Direction: Provide leadership to other team members in the company by displaying resourcefulness, self-starting work habits, and creativity in problem solving based on information and judgment. Ability to work with minimum assistance and supervision is required. Must be able to effectively communicate with immediate team members, team members of General Contractors, specialty subcontractors, client managers, customers and partners.


Essential Two year college degree or extensive field experience in one or more of the following: Mechanical, Plumbing or HVAC, Estimating, or equivalent field experience. Work Experience as an estimator, Scheduler or Superintendent is preferred. Strong computer skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Microsoft Office and other Autodesk Building Design Suite products. 5-10 years previous commercial construction experience required. Qualifications: A working background in construction trades or supervisory experience with a mechanical or HVAC subcontractor is required. 5-7 years Mechanical, Plumbing or HVAC field experience with a contractor is required. 3-4 years’ experience using Autodesk Fabrication CADmep required. Experience using Navisworks Manage for clash detection and resolution is required. 3D Spooling experience is required. Extensive AutoCAD experience required (2000-3000 hrs) Ability and desire to lead a team of 5-7 detailers. Some project management experience preferred. Trade school, college degree or related field experience equivalent required. Ability to manage multiple CAD or BIM projects simultaneously. Perform multiple CAD & Building Information Modeling (BIM) tasks, MEP 3D modeling, MEP coordination, shop drawings and detailing. Work collaboratively with clients and colleagues in providing intelligent MEP Building Information Modeling services utilizing Revit, AutoCAD, Fabrication CADmep, SysQue and Navisworks software. Review 2D & 3D CAD files, organize and maintain all 3D model files, conduct clash detection exercises utilizing AutoCAD, Revit MEP and Navisworks software. Must possess a proficient working knowledge of CAD programs from multiple construction trades Experience with Autodesk Fabrication CADmep (formerly CADmech, CADduct and CADmep+) Plumbing, mechanical or HVAC field experience on commercial or industrial projects. Associates Degree in Drafting Technology, or equal field and CAD experience a plus. Autodesk or other CAD Training certifications a plus. Other computer experience a plus: AutoCAD, Excel, Access, Sketchup, Solidworks, Inventor, Rhino, etc. Must possess an excellent working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks (Approximately 3000-4000 hours as a user and practitioner). Knowledge of Structural and MEP trades, shop drawings, common field problems and how to resolve them.
