Cache Valley Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Building Information Modeler immediately for a job in Cheyenne, WY. This is a temporary position intended to last for the duration of the project. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Produce drawings/models consistent with Cache Valley Electric guidelines and CAD/BIM standards
- Utilize Revit MEP tools to develop electrical building models from basic sketches, 2D drawings and verbal instructions
- Use the Revit family content to build BIM content for electrical system components as needed
- Prepare 3D electrical system layouts for the Underground Coordination and Above the Ceiling Coordination
- Directly coordinate Electrical 3D model with other MEP contractors in order to develop a fully coordinated model of electrical systems
- Resolve conflicts with other disciplines and trades using Navisworks while adhering and improving primary electrical system design
- Produce MEP Coordination Drawings and Electrical Shop Drawings extracting data directly from the 3D electrical model
- Attend and actively participate in coordination meetings with other MEP trades
- Utilize CAD Scheduling and Takeoffs for pre-fabrication
- Work closely with Project Manager and Superintendent to quickly and efficiently create construction documents for field use
Successful candidates will have the following skills and experience:
- Associates degree or equivalent or equivalent related experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience with an architecture/engineering consulting firm or contractor
- Electrical modeling experience using Revit MEP 2012 or later
- Proficiency in REVIT MEP 2012 and later, as well as AutoCAD 2012 or later
- Knowledge of Navisworks Manage 2012 or later
- Ability to plan and organize tasks independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
